Welcome to Islington Skip Hire. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our skip hire services. By booking with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.
1. Introduction
Islington Skip Hire provides waste management solutions for residential and commercial clients. Our services include the delivery and collection of skips in various sizes to accommodate different waste disposal needs.
2. Booking and Payments
2.1. Booking Procedure
Bookings can be made online or via phone. To secure your booking, you must provide accurate information regarding the size of the skip, delivery location, and required rental period.
2.2. Payment Terms
Payment is required at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other secure payment methods. All prices are quoted in GBP and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
3. Delivery and Collection
3.1. Delivery
Our team will deliver the skip to the specified location on the agreed date. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery area is accessible and safe for the skip.
3.2. Collection
Once the rental period expires, we will collect the skip. Please ensure that the skip is empty and free from any hazardous materials before collection.
4. Usage of Skips
Customers must use the skip solely for the disposal of waste as permitted by law. Overfilling or misusing the skip may result in additional charges or termination of the service.
- Permitted Items: Household waste, construction debris, garden waste.
- Prohibited Items: Hazardous materials, asbestos, tires, batteries.
5. Prohibited Items
For safety and environmental reasons, the following items are strictly prohibited from being disposed of in our skips:
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Flammable substances
- Medical waste
- Electrical appliances containing mercury
- Batteries
Any prohibited items found will be removed at the customer’s expense.
6. Liability
Islington Skip Hire is not liable for any damage to property or injury to persons resulting from the use of our skips, except where caused by our negligence.
Customers are responsible for ensuring the safe placement and use of the skip.
7. Cancellation Policy
Bookings can be canceled without penalty up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery. Cancellations made within 48 hours may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total booking cost.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be handled through amicable negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Changes to Terms
Islington Skip Hire reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes via email or our website.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. By using our services, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
